新的西班牙大使馆驻摩洛哥官邸旨在建立一个凸显西班牙建筑的一个地标，恢复西班牙文化的建筑元素。另一个目的是使原来的树木不收到破坏，尽可能的大量的保留原有的树木。因此绝大多数的树木被保留在了建筑内部的庭院里。这个项目我们注意到了可持续发展和生态化的运用。这个建筑采用的传统的西班牙式建筑，比如说有内庭，虽然是西班牙的建筑元素，但是我们设计了一个更阿拉伯风情的庭院，如同格拉纳达的阿尔罕布拉宫。这个项目的平面布置遵循了RIAD模式，这是一个摩洛哥宫廷皇家的模式，通常有内庭。这个名字来源于阿拉伯语，意思是花园，从生态学角度来看，植物是非常重要的，它可以帮助调节温度和湿度。庭院的绿化可以降低小范围内的空气温度，有助于摩洛哥干燥的气候。
