The project deals with the urban planning of six big plots (730.000 m²) in the northern part of Suzhou. Four of these plots are destined for the creation of the Suzhou Motor City, which includes commercial spaces, exhibition centers and offices. The last two plots contain the residential program. Suzhou Motor City consists of a main avenue that goes through the four plots and thus divides the project in two separate areas. The south area is the larger one and contains big commercial spaces surrounded by a belt of car dealerships. The north area faces the River Tang, leaving more open spaces. The project is completed by a further two plots on the western side. The first holds social housing and a commercial building in the southern limit. The second mixes low-rise luxury housing and a wide park with higher collective housing. |
