The project proposal is to be executed on a plot of land situated in the district of Beniopa, a former rural hub that has been absorbed by the growth of the city of Gandía. This position is also notable due to the presence of the Beniopa Ravine and the hill known as Rocó de les Forques. The plot occupies approximately the northern half of the block of the town centre of the district through which the current access for vehicles is located. The proposal includes a covered sports centre, two tennis courts, squash courts and the expansion of the existing municipal swimming pool. A changing room module will also be introduced for the different sports activities that are planned, as well as storerooms for maintenance machinery. The most important equipment added is grouped into a layout that occupies the central part of the plot, delimited by a ramp with a slight slope that covers the topographical difference of the plot. The covered multiple sport court will measure 50 x 30 metres and will not have a side enclosure. The placement of metal slats is projected for the southern and western sides to block out glare from the sun. The latticed beam structure is laid out at the top part of the flat ceiling. The changing rooms will be in a single block and independent entrances will be created under the same roof. Landscaping with a Mediterranean grove is planned for the rest of the plot, which includes rest spaces and a training circuit, which can be connected to the neighbouring natural park by means of a footbridge.
