El concepto básico del edificio es el de representar una unión entre el cielo y la tierra. El cielo debido a su ubicación en un aeropuerto. La Tierra debido a su forma y la expresión material.



Dividido en tres niveles diferentes, cada uno con su propia función y tratamiento de fachada, cada parte del edificio tiene una lectura diferente desde el exterior y proporciona una idea general del edificio como un bloque de terracota que se va desmaterializando de la tierra al cielo.



El cuerpo principal alberga el hotel, y está por encima del resto del edificio. Este volumen está construido con una fachada ventilada, de lamas color tierra. Los alzados sureste y suroeste también utilizan lamas de cerámica que, una vez más, transmiten la idea del edificio como pieza tallada de terracota.
