El proyecto de rehabilitación del Teatro Capitol propone la modificación de la actual sala, con sección de sala de cine, para adaptarla desde el punto de vista espacial y de equipamientos a una sala de teatro moderna, con acústica cuidada y nueva caja escénica, completándola como nuevo equipamiento de ciudad con unas salas polivalentes para exposiciones y ensayos. El edificio original se amplía con una parcela destinada a equipamiento de camerinos.En el proyecto se mantiene la entrada por el centro de la fachada del edificio original potenciando la representatividad urbana y arquitectónica del Teatro Capitol, realizando las adecuaciones oportunas para una mejor accesibilidad al edificio.
